The American Chamber of Commerce in the People's Republic of China is a non-profit, non-governmental organization whose membership comprises more than 3,300 individuals from 900 companies operating across China. The chamber's nationwide mission is to help American companies succeed in China through advocacy, information, networking and business support services. 

AmCham China is the only officially recognized chamber of commerce representing American business in mainland China. With offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Shenyang and Wuhan, AmCham China has more than 50 working groups and holds more than 250 events each year.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete payroll process every month; 
  • Administer benefits such as social insurance, housing fund with FESCO; 
  • Perform the expats working visa for the foreigner staff.
  • Maintaining and controlling personnel, employees, recruitment relations records, files, 
  • Administering and monitoring new hire orientation programs. 
  • Preparing paperwork needed to create new employee profile and to place new employee on payroll 
  • Providing assistance in hiring process activities such as posting jobs on job board or website, and maintaining a spreadsheet on tracking an applicant 
  • Exercising individual judgment while dealing with potential or real troubles on own initiative and bringing them to manager’s attention 
  • Coordinating staff training
  • Assist Sr. Operations Director to organize team building activities and other HR projects
  • Other duties as related to Human Resources process as may be deemed necessary.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related job with preferable experience in payroll management.
  • Good command of both Chinese and English, particularly with written correspondence
  • Effective problem-solving skills. 
  • Able to present information in forms, tables, and spreadsheets. 
  • Should be an effectual communicator verbally as well as through writing skills. 
  • Should be committed to diversity and equality culture. 
  • Medium proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. 
  • Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.
