Systems Engineer

Our client provides custom strategic financial advisory and wealth management solutions to a broad range of clients.   • The Systems Engineer/NOC Operator will be integral to the team whose primary responsibility lies with the reliability and availability of the Company’s server, storage, and network infrastructure
  • Responsibilities will include monitoring systems and responding to alerts, working with technical support, escalating issues to system owners, racking server and network equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation of the IT Infrastructure
  • Candidates will be responsible for after-hours user support and escalations
  • Candidates must be able to work independently within assigned priorities, take ownership of issues as they arise, and possess excellent communication skills
  • Candidates will need to troubleshoot system activities and utilization and work with vendor Technical Support engineers as well as internal Systems Engineers to resolve issues
  • Candidates are required to be punctual and reliable, and work flexible schedules as required to maintain support coverage



  • 2-5 years' experience needed working as a Systems Engineer/Admin, NOC/Support Analyst
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Must be comfortable working 2nd shift from 3PM-12AM, Monday through Friday
  • Candidate must have the ability to maintain and administer Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 Server infrastructure through Full System Life Cycle including installation and configuration of OS, patching and upgrading
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in the following technologies: 
  1. ​Active Directory administration, scripting, maintenance, and troubleshooting 
  2. VMware ESXi/vSphere (other Hypervisors a plus) 
  3. Server Infrastructure (HP Preferred) 
  4. Storage Area Networks (FC Preferred)
  5. MSCS/NLB technologies, MS Exchange, MDM (BES, Good, Airwatch experience a plus) 
  6. Citrix XenApp 
  7. Working knowledge of PowerShell
  • Candidate should hold a current Microsoft Server certification
  • Experience with wide range of Microsoft and other third party products
