Senior Business Development Specialist

An online music education company based in New York City is looking for an energetic Business Development Specialist to join their team. Since inception in late 2016, they have experienced rapid growth. Their primary focus is creating a holistic and global online music learning environment, mimicking the skeleton of traditional music academies, but with the power and convenience of online education. Through their work with students, they strive to help eliminate challenges such as access to incredible teachers and ways of tracking success.



They are currently looking for a Senior Business Development Specialist in New York City. They are seeking sales driven, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and customer-centric BD/Sales Leader to guide customers with their needs and provide them with an exceptional experience. This role consists of 80% sales and 20% customer service.



  • Communicate with senior leadership and lead the overall sales operations
  • Set daily/weekly/monthly goals for sales team
  • Provide training to new hires
  • Guide the customer by introducing products and services that effectively meets and exceeds his/her need
  • Greet and offer all customers exceptional service
  • React and follow through to customers’ needs
  • Achieve selling standards and goals on a consistent basis
  • Provide technical support to client regarding the online platform
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all products and services
  • Manage the CRM system
  • Follow up with customers about their course arrangement and needs
  • Utilize the Client book to develop and build a client base that generates dollars on a consistent basis
  • Other job duties as assigned



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in business development/sales, selling e-learning/educational products is strongly preferred
  • Experience working as a customer service is a plus
  • A fast learner and detail-oriented
  • Professional telephone presence and excellent communication skills
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
