About the Company

The first annual National Youth Orchestra of China is proud to present an international concert tour of the United States and China during the summer of 2017, inaugurated by a performance in Carnegie Hall on Saturday, July 22. For two weeks this July, approximately one hundred high schoolaged musicians from China will gather at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in the northeastern United States to participate in an intensive two-week training program under the direction of a group of world-class teaching artists, artistic director Jindong Cai, and renowned conductor Ludovic Morlot. After two weeks of rehearsals, master classes, workshops, and cultural excursions, the orchestra will debut in New York City with a historic concert featuring soloist Yuja Wang. After this thrilling debut, the orchestra will embark on a three-city concert tour of China featuring soloist Olga Kern.


Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinator with international concert tour of the United States and China
  • Plan and coordinate project scheduling, and administrative tasks
  • Prepare memorandums and proposals for various projects
  • Translate speeches, meetings, and written documentation from English to Chinese and Chinese to English
  • Serve as a liaison between teams and management



  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree
  • Prior administrative and project management experience required; Proven track record in managing projects
  • The candidate must have native-level grasp of English and Mandarin Chinese (in speaking, reading, professional writing and translating) and be knowledgeable and sensitive to both American and Chinese cultural nuances
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/tasks efficiently
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and applicable PC hardware
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-pace environment and work in teams
