Food Science / Engineering Researcher

The hiring company is a fast-growing restaurant chain in the United States. They plan to open more than 100 restaurants in 2 years nationwide. Currently, they are seeking a Food Science/Engineering Researcher to join their team in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for new product development for a given market segment
  • Conduct market, product, competitor and customer research to determine unmet customer needs and translate into product requirements
  • Actively collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Sales teams through all phases of the development process cycle
  • Provide technical, functional and other training opportunities to ensure staff development and effective contribution to the overall operation
  • Responsible for Food Safety and Food Engineering as related to the project

Qualifications:

  • BS in Food Engineering/Food Science or related field required, advanced degree preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a must
  • Research experience in freezing technology, supply chain, and nutrition preferred
  • Research experience or paper publications preferred
