Member Operations Intern
The American Chamber of Commerce in the People's Republic of China is a non-profit, non-governmental organization whose membership comprises more than 3,300 individuals from 900 companies operating across China. The chamber's nationwide mission is to help American companies succeed in China through advocacy, information, networking and business support services.
AmCham China is the only officially recognized chamber of commerce representing American business in mainland China. With offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Shenyang and Wuhan, AmCham China has more than 50 working groups, and holds more than 250 events each year.
AmCham is looking for a fluent Chinese speaking intern who is also comfortable working in English for the Member Operations team.
Job Responsibilities
- Support regular and signature events such as forum conferences
- Assist staff to coordinate speakers and venues
- Help with post-event finance, including issuing fapiao’s
- Write short reports to be published on website and in weekly e-newsletter and monthly magazine
- Support Member Operations team staff on projects as needed
Qualifications
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program.
- Expat candidates must be X1 or X2 visa holders.
- The internship lasts 3 months at a minimum.
- The intern will spend at least three days a week in the office.
